help me tweak source game (pL0x)

I have read that the source engine has the ability to run on older systems. I have also read that you have the ability to turn this feature on and off. How? Can someone provide a link to a page that will help me? I want to tweak source so Counter-strike will run smother. My PC is borderline spec for source games. So, it is VERY choppy when I play counter-strike: source. Any help would be greatly appreciated! THANK YOU!help me tweak source game (pL0x)

1.2 GHz Processor

256MB RAM

DirectX 7 level graphics card

Windows 2000/XP

Keyboard

Internet Connection



If your computer is borderline for this, I would put some serious thought into upgrading. That being said, there are some things you can try beyond turning all of the graphics settings down:

• Be sure VSync is off.
• Take a look at the advanced tweaking pages (particularly the performance section of page eight) in this guide. There are a number of extra settings you can turn down or off that may get you a few more FPS.
