Now it's not a Sony exclusive i expected to see a PC version on launch but instead of that happening we're going to ahve to wait for agessss again with no release date confirmed. I really don't understand why because the PC version is always by far the best in terms of graphics and performance and even things like controls, also we have mods which Rockstar shoulda made use of like Epic where you can carry over mods from PC to PS3 as Sony allow it.
I bet they're just going to do some stupid crap like the game comes with hardly any music and you have to purchase it all over the Live store or w/e lol and then Microsoft will want that to carry over to Windows Live which no PC user wants.I hate how long we have to wait for GTA games....
They haven't announced anything like this, nor do I think it is reasonable to assume that they would. The PC versions of Grand Theft Auto games have been the last to come out since GTA3; you should be used to it by now.I hate how long we have to wait for GTA games....
Its just the way it is mate, they've done it 3 times already. All the ports to the PC have been pretty low-key and with fairly small teams. Relax, Rstar hasn't screwed up yet so what makes you think they will now?
it's better this way. i wouldn't like to play incomplete games with lots of bugs.edit: sorry. only read the name of the topic and you were talking about the PC version....they wan't to make it a console game. it would take a LOT more time and resources if they would make the PC version at the same time.i can wait. with Crisys, COD4, UT3 and all i'm busy for atleast a year :P (good multiplayer = long lifespan)i could always get a PS3 if i can't wait. hell, i bought Gamecube too just because of Resident Evil 4 back in the days :)

san andreas for pc came out at the same time as the xbox one didnt it? that was only because sony made xbox owners wait to stop the xbox getting a hold on the industry. i can put up with waits as long as there are decent upgrades to it that werent on the first release... sa didnt really do that unfortunately but still- a good game...

If it's going to be a port TO PCs, then it'll probavbly end up with the same issues recent ports have been having. :S

Can you blame them? It's certainly easier to develop for specific hardware sets instead of the massive number of configurations out there for PC.
And it will also sell better. Especially if it's an exclusive for the first six months. Everyone who owns a 360 will rush to stores just because it's an exlusive. Yes, that's not the case with GTA IV, but other games you mentioned like Gears of War and Mass Effect.

They know GTA is a series that shifts console units. They know that if they don't multiplat it, people will buy the only machine it's available for. They also know that, by saving the best for last, they are securing sales on the inferior systems, then going bam! and releasing a PC version. If you look at SA on the PC, it wasn't even announced until after the PS2 version was already out. That can't have had anything to do with sales, it's doubtful it was a clause in their Sony exclusivity contract (though admittedly possible) and it's unlikely Rockstar had any doubts about porting it to the PC.It's just that when people don't think it's coming to PC, they buy the console version - even if it means buying the console first - then when the PC version swings by, they grab it too - because it looks better and plays better. In the end, as we all know, i's all about the money. And Rockstar has stumbled upon a very effective way of making one sale into two - and is possibly sitting on the only game series in history that can get away with it every three years.I don't like the wait, either - hell, no one does. But unless you want to buy a console version...
I don't know about you guys, but GTA: SA graphics were acceptable on my PS 2, but playing that game on my gaming rig didn't feel right. I did however like the aiming system in GTA on the pc version though.
