Just a few more hours until the demo. At least here in Europe we have until Friday before the full game is released, so the demo is still very much appreciated!
cant wait, fully pre-loaded on steam and waiting....dl the demo as well...hope its worth all this hype...
cant wait, fully pre-loaded on steam and waiting....dl the demo as well...hope its worth all this hype...
From the reviews its been getting. It is.
Demo is here: http://www.fileplanet.com/promotions/bioshock/It's also due out in stores this Tuesday 8/21/07I'd update the 1st post but I'm getting HTML errors left and right :(
another link for demo when it comes:http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_bioshock_downloads.html
I bought the PC version a couple of days ago, and I can't play until the 21st anyway. LAME.
I can't waittill the EBGames where I pre-ordered the Gamestop collectors' edition opens tommorow morning to get my copy. Since I work a graveyard shift it means I have to stay up late to do it but I think it'll be worth it. :D
Softpedia have the demo: http://games.softpedia.com/get/Games-Demo/BioShock-PC-Demo.shtmlI can't seem to get it to download. You try and let me know.
Softpedia have the demo: http://games.softpedia.com/get/Games-Demo/BioShock-PC-Demo.shtmlI can't seem to get it to download. You try and let me know.
nope not working here either...
Okay, I've found a way to get the demo. If you want to know PM me.
2K really messed this up beyond belief with the demo, they put a damn lock on it, a demo for gods sake. Now when users found out how to get the decrypted demo from FilePlanet, FilePlanet ofc took the demo down. This is so laugable, a freaking demo of a game being locked until 21st. and pushed back to all the way to 20th. until you can preload it. This is really sad. I want to test before I buy, but obvioulsy now those who are leeching the non-locked demo are labeled pirates - laughing at being called a pirate for something that was and will always be free. Obviously 2K doesn't seem to show any interest in their PC customers, so I won't show any interest for their games with my money.
Played the demo, looks great, runs like a dream on my 8800 gts 320 at 1280 * 1024 everything MAX/ON in DX9, gonna try DX10 soon.Yet do see the FPS drop below 40, and this is before the new drivers optimised for bioshock come out.
if the min sys req for bioshock is a pentium cpu, and the rec sys req is an intel core2duo, does that mean it wont run on an amd x2 proc?
It will run absolutely fine on AMDX2 processor.

Softpedia have the demo: http://games.softpedia.com/get/Games-Demo/BioShock-PC-Demo.shtmlI can't seem to get it to download. You try and let me know.
nope not working here either...
thanks for the link. downloading now. The performance of this game on my pc will determine if i get it for pc/360. i have faith in my sytem with my 8800 but the amd priocessor may bring it down.
I am a bit confused as to why they would lock the demo until the 21st as well. I pre-ordered the 360 version, but I am considering buying the PC version instead. This will help make my decision alot easier, I wish they would unlock before 7pm tonight, dont understand the significance of 7pm on the 21st.
Woohoo... only 24 more hours until I find out if my 7900GS, P4 2.8ghz, and 1GB RAM will run the game looking decent.
Okay, I've found a way to get the demo. If you want to know PM me.
Heres his method...
Ok first you Stand up.
After that you eat 5 quarters, then a rice crispy treat.
Now you break dance.
THEN!!!!! You go down 5 blocks ''Estimate the distance'' to your local 7/11.
Then you do the hokey pokey for a few hours.
Then you buy BioShock when it comes out.
