Anyone here play EVE online?

I'm playing the free trial, and I've gotta say that this is the first time that an MMO of any kind(including WoW) has actually gotten me very interested in actually paying monthly for it.(Just look at my xifre bar) It goes against the basic conventions of your typical MMO and is very unique. I don't know what type of game it was when it first released,(considering the low scores it got when it first came out) but I know that it was probably different when it first came out in comparison to now. I just wanted to know how many people are currently playing this game now and your thoughts about it? Anyone here play EVE online?
No, no one plays it those thousands of other players are just 1 man with to much free time.Anyone here play EVE online?
I've been playing eve for a very long time. You just jumped in at a very good time since the Revelations 2 content patch just got released and its sooo good. My name is Acidtron and I am a loyal amarr in the Aegis Milita Corporation.
What exactly did the revelations II patch provide? and I'm part of the gallente just so you know.

One of my favorite changes was the LP you get from doing missions instead of waiting for an offer to use those LP points each faction now has a store for you to use them in and browse. There are now wreckages that can be salvaged for more ISK.Read the patch notes theres some exciting stuff.

Also CCP is having White Wolf Studios (or something like that name i forget exactly) devlop the planetside version of EVE where you walk around and have your avatar in space stations outside of the standard EVE play. This prolly won't happen for awhile but thats the best thing about EVE, CCP is dedicated in evolving this game.

[/QUOTE]Ya they said that feature was coming out in 2008 I believe. They are also supposed to be moving to a new graphics engine by the end of the year that will have support for vista as well as DX10. Oh and is it possible to buy time cards at stores instead of using a credit card? Since I don't have a credit card yet this would really be the only way for me to continue playing the game.
No i dont think they sell EVE time cards in stores. Get a debit card?
I'm going to try the trial in a couple weeks as well. I like the concept of it, no one telling you what to do , etc etc. We'll see how much I like it though.
Yep, you're not the only one :) I've been playing for about 1 year and 3 months, and i still love it....i was previously addicted to WoW, but sci-fi and space is more my thing. It might be slow going for the first few weeks, you know where most people try out mining and get bored of it all too quickly, but once you join a nice corporation or alliance it gets really fun...especially if it's out n 0.0. :) Hope to meet you in EVE! Don't worry,....i'm not a pirate...:)

Also I believe they ahve them in their online store (useless i know lol) but that should be proof they exist.
EVE is a great game. I used to play it.
I play eve too it's a great game. You can pay a different number off ways, you can also pay with banktransfers cost a bit more but you can atleast try one extra month. And if you pay you still keep your 14 free days. Which is nice in my oppinion.
EVE online is a fantastic game, very detailed and emersive, i used to play it and enjoyed it very much.
Yep EVE is a good game - especially if you get into 0.0 corp/alliance politics and warfare. If you want to know what's new in revelations 2 go to http://www.eve-online.com/features/revelations2/. I wouldn't judge it by the Gamespot score (6.6) - that was given 4 years ago when the game was in itsinfancy. There has been lots of expansions and patches since then which have improved the game a lot. Look at the gamespot user-rating for Revelations - 9.2 - which is a much better indication.
I tried the trial a while back, but just couldn't get into the game. It was more like an economic simulator with a sci fi setting slapped on.
A lot of EVE bashing is abound on gamestop lately , but it's a fantastic game. If you're still searching for a corp - hit me up in game - we can talk.- Saava Maak is the name.
