Their main website is www.empiresmod.com. Empires mod is a total conversion FPS/RTS hybrid. There's two teams, The Brenodi and Northern Faction. There were once 2 empires, the Brenodi and Jekotian empire. The Jekotian capital was sacked and annexed. They became the Northern faction. This mod supports up to 48 players at one time. On regular maps there is a commander who has the real-time strategy view and everyone else is infantry in a first person view. The commander can place buildings on the battlefield, but it is up to the players on the team to set it in stone. There are many features of this mod. When a commander builds a vehicle factory, the players are able to build and customize tanks and vehicles. As the commander researches, more tanks, weapons, armor, and engines will become available to choose from. The weapons range from regular tank cannons to small nuclear missiles. There are other types of game modes such as conquest and mission mode. Conquest mode is where each team does not have a commander, instead they are to capture flags with vehicles and infantry. Mission mode is where each team has a specific objective they have to achieve such as infiltrating the enemy base or escaping from a confined space. Empires has a cl@ss system. There are four cl@sses to choose from Scout, Rifleman, Grenadier, and Engineer. Each cl@ss has their own unique abilities and weaknesses. Every cl@ss has unlock able abilities when the player is promoted to a new rank. There are general and cl@ss specific abilities. Abilities range from the general increased accuracy to the cl@ss specific engineer repair upgrade. Scouts can use the special ability ''Hide'' which cloaks their body when they are near the ground or a wall. Rifleman can use one of their cl@ss specific abilities ''Dig in'' which enables them to take damage to their stamina instead of health when crouched. Grenadiers have some unique special skills such as ''Mine Defusal'' This enables them to walk over mines, drive over mines or defuse them so others can pass through safely. Engineers not only can choose ''Repair upgrade'' but they can also function as medics. Another special skill for the engineer to choose from is the revive skill. Engineers can use their repair kit on a dead team member and revive them without losing a reinforcement ticket. This is just a taste of Empires mod. Playing on a 48 slot server has its benefits if you enjoy 20 vs 20 tank battles. The good news is this is a free game. One more thing, they have a trailer for this game. click here Empires Mod 2.0

Heard about the release. I hope it gets more exposure. I am going to try it out soon. Thanks for the update.
yeah i just hope this thread helps spread the word.
I had an amazing game last night. We were playing Escort, and our side (brenodi, blue) was having difficulty. I was an engineer running around healing people as bullets and mortar shells raced over my head. We were pretty stuck down at a corner, and our tanks couldn't get through. Suddenly my squad leader used a cool squad power and our squad went invisible. We ran right by the defenders and capped the flag before the realized what was going on. We then turned back and cleared the enemies from behind. Man, they were really surprised, they didn't have any cameras to spot infantry. I don't really know the game very well, but I'm learning and the community is really helpful (i play on the CW servers, they're really good). While I downloaded the game I read the wiki or the manuel or something. I recommend doing that. I have a pretty decent computer, so I run at full graphics. The game looks really awesome when you have everything turned up. From my experience, the source engine isn't very good at vehicles or large spaces. Somehow Empires got through both those problems and made a really good game which runs and looks amazing.
LOL. I see what you guys are doing. If you guys really want to go a good PR job, your really need to make some gameplay videos. That's the best way to get more people to play a game. I personally am going to try out this mod, but just trying to help make your job easier.EDIT: I really like the polish on your website, and the User Manual. Dling now. =)
